The technical standard

Yes. The shower floor needs a consistent minimum slope of 1/4 inch per foot toward the drain. The challenge is creating that slope while keeping the entry truly zero threshold and the surrounding floor level where it needs to be.
Center drains, point drains, and linear drains can all work when they are planned with the floor geometry. Linear drains are often useful for a single-plane slope, but the right choice depends on the room and plumbing.
We treat the shower as a continuous waterproofing system: floor, walls, drain connection, seams, niches, and penetrations. Tile and grout are finishes; the membrane behind them protects the structure.
Depending on the layout, a walk-in shower can use a fixed glass panel, a partial enclosure, a door-and-panel configuration, or no glass at all in a larger wet-room design. We select glass after the drainage and entry path are resolved.
